I ordered a float needle and seat for my 74 Ducati 750gt carburetor through Niko. Initially, Niko said I would get it the following week. After a couple of weeks I phoned to see when it would arrive. He said next week, for the next 3 weeks and the part never arrived. I was continually assured it would. So after 6 weeks the wrong part arrived. Niko said I did not tell him the part size, which was totally not true, and said he would call me back, which he did not do and that he was going away. Said he was sorry, he could lend me an old one from a bike he was rebuilding?
So now I have to order with someone else and wait another few weeks. Really frustrating and costing me lost insurance, and possibly the sale of the bike.
I’m sure Niko is a great mechanic, but he proved to me to be totally unreliable.
You have helped me in the past, which I am very grateful for and the reason I was ok with you ordering the parts for me.
However, my frustration is after a 6 weeks wait only to find that the part was never ordered. And then I was left hanging.
No question you are an excellent mechanic, and your knowledge of Ducati’s is renowned.
